Employers are well placed to spot the signs in colleagues: anxiety, decreased motivation, seeming distracted, being late, being on the phone to a partner or family member very often – and yet so often no one knows what to say or do. This must change.

SafeLives are pleased to see HMICRFS' interim eport today call for whole-system, cross-sectoral reform in the criminal justice system to respond to perpetrators of violence against women and girls. We also welcome the call for an unequivocal, cross-government prioritisation of the response to crimes which disproportionately affect women and girls.
SafeLives welcomes the Victims Bill, but calls on Government to not leave any survivor of abuse behind.
SafeLives welcome the introduction of the long-awaited Victims and Prisoners Bill to Parliament today and look forward to engaging with parliamentarians as the Bill progresses. There are measures in this Bill which will improve the experiences of many victims of domestic abuse, but it must go further if it is to truly support all survivors.
