Marac to Marac referral process

A one page resource providing guidance to Marac practitioners on the appropriate steps to follow in the Marac to Marac referral process

Marac to Marac referrals occur when a victim of domestic abuse moves between geographic areas, whether temporarily or permanently, and is therefore referred from one Marac to another Marac.

This resource should be used by practitioners within the originating Marac who go through the process of referring to the new Marac.

It provides an easy-to-follow, visual guide to ensure that Marac practitioners appropriately follow steps in the referral process. A series of questions with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses ensure that decision making is unambiguous. The questions posed cover topics such as whether the case has already been heard at the local Marac, or whether the Marac agenda has already been circulated.
