How we are run and funded

We directly employ around 50 people across England and Wales, and we also work with a group of associate consultants and trainers.

Our board of trustees has overall responsibility for the management of the charity. Our leadership team - led by Diana Barran, our chief executive - is responsible for SafeLives’ overall operational management.

We raise our money through donations and from charitable organisations and trusts. We get part of our income from government grants, as well as from fees for our training and consultancy services. You can read our most recent annual report and accounts on the Charity Commission website.
