The workshop will:
- Explore SafeLives’ evaluated Marac model & Chair’s role within it
- Look at the role of the Chair in creating an effective Marac environment, ensuring all agencies are engaged, are identifying victims at high risk and producing robust action plans.
- Examine the recommended case structure for Marac meetings.
- Reflect on local circumstances and challenges.
- Consider the support available to victims at high risk of serious harm.
- Review issues faced by Scottish Maracs

This workshop is suitable for those who are new to the role of Marac agency representative, as well as those who want to undertake refresher training.
The workshop will:
- Explore SafeLives’ evaluated Marac model & roles and responsibilities of representatives
- Improve understanding of a multi-agency response to domestic abuse, the evaluated Marac. model, and the role of the Marac Representative within this.
- Explore effective information sharing & action planning.
- Provide valuable skills and experience to engage effectively with Marac.
- Review issues faced by Scottish Maracs.

Safety planning for Marac professionals training

This workshop is aimed at those involved in the Marac process, either by referring victims or by attending meetings.
The workshop will:
- Examine the dynamics of domestic abuse
- Consider best practise when safety planning with DA victims.
- Consider how MARAC and multi-agency responses facilitate effective risk management.
- Explore safe, proportionate & relevant information sharing
