We are SafeLives, the UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for everyone and for good.

About us

Transforming the response

We work with organisations across the UK to transform the response to domestic abuse, at a local, national and societal level.

Survivor voice

Survivor voice is at the heart and start of what we do. Victims of domestic abuse are experts by experience and that is at the centre of how we develop and provide support, so that it truly meets the needs of every survivor.

Research and analysis

All of the work we do is evidence-based. We break new ground and build knowledge about domestic abuse, constantly developing our understanding of what works to prevent, stop and safeguard people from harm, and support recovery.

Training and best practice

We innovate, develop and champion best practice. This includes supporting local systems to review their practice and training professionals working with victims, so that they can provide effective, trauma-informed support.

Support our work

Each year, more than two million people in the UK experience domestic abuse. No one should live in fear. It is not acceptable, not inevitable, and together – we can make it stop. Make a donation to SafeLives today and help us end domestic abuse, for everyone and for good.
