SafeLives introductory eLearning training courses are the perfect entry point for those who may encounter victims and survivors of domestic abuse in their roles. Empower your workforce to spot the signs and respond with confidence.
SafeLives is committed to ending domestic abuse (DA) and education is the first step on that journey. We’re well known for our accredited training, both in-person and online, but we want to help educate everyone, not just DA professionals.
Our introductory eLearning courses are aimed at a general audience, with zero assumed knowledge about domestic abuse or its specialist terminology. They can serve as the perfect entry point for people who may encounter victims of domestic abuse in their roles, be they frontline medical staff, housing officers or customer service advisors.
Our eLearning incorporates animations, interactive activities, and knowledge checks to help keep learners engaged; we reinforce learning with a multimedia approach.
Clinical Nurse SpecialistAs a clinician working in sexual health, I knew a little about non-fatal strangulation but this training module really brought to light how prevalent and how serious it can be. It has made me reflect on my practice, and has prompted me to ask all patients about NFS rather than just those with clinical signs.
eLearning can be a great option for upskilling a large workforce. Our modules typically take less than an hour to complete, can be completed at the learner’s own pace and slotted into their schedule when they have time.
You can purchase our off-the-shelf modules, ready to be implemented into your existing learner management system. Need something more tailored? Commission a customised or fully bespoke module, created with our network of experienced subject matter experts.
We welcome learners of all backgrounds and abilities. We encourage you to share with us any details on accessibility and diversity needs so we can ensure the right support is in place. You can also contact the training team if you have any queries via [email protected].
Philip Blurton (Director of Safeguarding & Principal Social Worker, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust)I have found working with [SafeLives] straight-forward, professional and enjoyable. You were clear about what you could offer, how the process would work, kept to deadlines and knew what you were talking about around the subject matter of the training. You made it easy to talk through changes…your patience was appreciated.

Created in partnership with the Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS), this module provides an overview of the offence of non-fatal strangulation.
