Marac toolkit for Idvas

A handy guide with template forms for Idvas that explains how the process works, their role at the meeting and how to refer

This practical toolkit has been created to support Idvas to:

  • understand how the Marac process works and the role their agency plays at the meeting
  • make effective referrals to Marac using the Dash risk identification checklist
  • prepare for attending a Marac meeting.

The Marac ensures that those high risk victims you support are better protected from further abuse by a coordinated effort from all agencies and organisations. The Idva’s role at Marac is to represent the views of the victim at the meeting, and to liaise between the victim and partner agencies to ensure that the safety plan is enacted. The Idva will normally be responsible for the case management.
