Ending Domestic Abuse – specialist services report

This specialist services report, ‘Ending Domestic Abuse’, explores how SafeLives could build the most effective relationships with and best support specialist services. The research and subsequent report aimed to understand the opportunities and barriers to SafeLives being able to closely ally with specialist individual practitioners, small/specialist services and their service users.

The report makes recommendations on how SafeLives can develop its work with specialist services, making it a more routine part of how it works, specifically around:

  • collaboration
  • help with bids, data and impact reporting
  • clear messaging
  • access to training and workshops
  • quality assurance
  • influencing and championing

This report was commissioned by SafeLives, and produced by H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday) in November 2021. H.O.P.E. is a training and consultancy specialising in domestic abuse, sexual violence/abuse, and safeguarding. This report is co-authored by Meena Kumari of H.O.P.E. and Brandy Hubbard of SafeLives.
