Re: Publication of Citizen’s Advice report, A link in the chain

27th August 2015

Diana Barran, chief executive of SafeLives, said: “Citizens Advice’s new report and ‘Talk About Abuse’ campaign are a really welcome addition to the conversation around how we end domestic abuse. Hundreds of thousands of people experiencing domestic abuse aren’t being identified early enough or don’t have access to the right support.

“Friends and family can play a crucial role in spotting abuse and are usually the first people a victim will tell about what they are suffering – but they need to know where to go for specialist help. The proposals in this report could make a real difference to how quickly victims get help."
